Management Accountant (PQ)

Job Description

We are seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant to join our finance team and support the business with financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone actively working towards their ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification, with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Job Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• Part-qualified in ACCA / CIMA / ACA (actively studying).
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Skills & Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a SaaS Business.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Excel & preferable with experience in Xero.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and deadline management.

Job Duties

Our ideal Management Accountant will play a key role in management accounts, financial reporting, reconciliations and process improvemnets and work across the following areas:

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Support year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist in VAT returns, tax computations, and statutory compliance.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support the preparation of budget reports and financial forecasts.
• Monitor actual vs. budget performance and provide variance analysis.
• Assist in cash flow forecasting to optimize financial planning.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process invoices, payments, and expenses.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts.
• Assist in improving credit control and cash collection processes.

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Assist in automating financial processes and improving efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax laws, and company policies.
• Contribute to internal controls and risk management procedures.
